So, it looks like…
The things I would rather do (or not), in contrast to the things instead of what I had been doing, they were the right thing to do.
But I lacked the wisdom to do them.
And so, instead, I was trying to make them… the way they should be. Or so I thought.
At the point of being alive for decades (four soon!), it’s becoming so obvious that you have to trust yourself.
‘You have to trust yourself’ is rather a cliche, isn’t it?
So. Perhaps the better way of placing it would be:
Don’t be too afraid to actually trust yourself.
Or maybe listen to yourself. Don’t be too afraid to actually listen to yourself.
At this point in time, Roxette is too cliche too, probably. But I do love their ‘listen to your heart,’ it’s so often ignored, for ill.
I avoid any specific examples here, as I think they don’t matter. My point is, I had a number of situations I kept thinking through, after they happened, and I come to the realisation I shouldn’t have tried doing something as it should be done, I needed to listen to myself, and tune from there.
I don’t know if that even makes any sense to others.
