It’s obvious that when we, humanity, want to achieve incredible results with robots, we must seek biological technologies. Robots must be as advanced as we, humans, are. Or not just humans, but any biological species that ever inhabited the planet. Great many things nature made possible is a miracle. To me, the most advanced function is multiplying. Technically, we are immortal, as a species.
Throughout the history of mankind, men tried to make a human being without another human (women).
Let’s keep it out of the scope of this fantasy as of why, otherwise we’re risking to make this thing deeply philosophical. Men want to feel divine, aren’t we?
As of this century, up to this point in history, all our robots were an attempt at making a human, but without many unnecessary (to fulfil the robot’s mission) functions. We have succeeded in robots being helpful, but we have failed in robots being humane.
Again, that’s out of the scope of this idea.
It feels like the ultimate robot we’d achieve would be made not of metal, plastic, and wires. But of flesh, and nerves. It would not have a set of micro schemes, but … a brain as its central processing unit.
‘So we’d do genetics, that’s what you’re saying?’ an impatient reader asks.
Yes, we’d create genetically modified species to help us achieve some of our goals. That’s pretty obvious. And these species would be much more advanced than the regular robots of today. That’s obvious too.
But what if we are these species someone created? I don’t mean divine here, as I don’t believe in God as in a bearded white man who created humans. Rather, what if that God is some collective species of some creatures that created us for some reason?
The species might be even not visible to us, or anyone else. What if they’re ghosts, the souls we have? They made us to occupy our physical bodies, and to give them something they never had. Or are unable to have.
Or those species could be some animals. Like cats, they were overly smart, and as many smart people, too lazy to do things on their own. So they invented us to domesticate them. Probably they collaborated with dogs, why wouldn’t they?
Or all of the species of this planet (or all planets) are made for some reason, and are biological robots to achieve some mission. The programming is quite primitive, but very strong.
Actually, that’s the theory I truly believe in.
I wonder, what is the mission? Obviously, all of the species are made to support each other and to provide a healthy environment for everyone.
Are we, humans, malfunctioning? Or are we not?
