A tree I liked

We did some pilgrimage journey some 4…5…6 years ago, where I saw this beautiful tree. (It was before the invasion, so a lifetime ago.)

It was winter, and it had leaves, and I just had never seen such a beauty. I took a few leaves, claiming I’d like to have it in our garden.

Put them into water, they grew roots, and … I cannot believe these leaves became this huge plant it is today. It looks strong, and it’s my favourite plant in the garden. What were the chances for these leaves to become this tree?

On the other hand, the very similar story could be told about these two kids right in front of it. They were not that big, just yesterday, huh.

It’s unbelievable how quickly life develops! It’s just so sad to realise that life might stop all of a sudden either. I wish our nation won’t have this existential threat of a barbaric neighbour. But even if we won’t make it, this thought might keep some of you afloat: life develops pretty quickly. Just look at them, they all weren’t here, just a mere week ago. Or two. We barely blinked.
