I am an avid believer in daily practice. Doing anything daily is more effective than doing it once in a while. Countless of examples:
- washing floors or just cleaning your space, dust, anything, is more effective when you do it every day, even if it’s not super intense. You spend less resources and your space is always clean and tidy. I think robo vacuums prove that.
- Doing physical exercises is better daily, than once in a while. You don’t have to be a fanatic for this.
- meditation is an excellent example, you have to do it daily if you want to see results
- I believe yoga works that way too (well, that’s almost physical exercises once again)
- learning languages
drinking coffee- studying
- driving
- basically any practice at any skill, is it not?
But what about thinking out of the box? Out of this well-defined fits-for-all box?
What if, there are things you want to get worse, huh?
- I want to get worse at worrying.
- I want to get worse at compulsively checking my phone.
- I want to get worse at drinking coffee
- and eating sweet sweet sweets with that coffee.
- I want to get worse at being
tiredexhausted. - I want to get worse at hating certain people (and politics too).
- I want to get worse at thinking some thoughts I don’t really want to think.
Oh, there are many thinks I’d like to get worse at!
And what if not everything in life is exact opposites? You not either compulsively eat all the sweets or not at all, you just eat sweets sometimes, and you’re at peace with it. Just imagine that!
Cool, eh?
I think I’d love to start being less obsessed with some obsessions and start doing some things irregularly, instead of regularly. Or start doing some other things regularly.
Yeah, I think I like this idea visiting me. Was worth it being late to my slumber slightly.
