Okay. I wanted to start this blog a long time ago, but kept postponing it. It’s my blog about getting fit, inspired by my other blog, bits— Upd: Aug 2026, I realised I’m merging all my tiny thematic mini-blogs into one, this one. Now, I’d just differentiate topics with tags, and that’s it. Perhaps that wouldn’t be as comfortable to read, but it would surely be more comfortable to write. Which is very important to me.
Hello, world!
Here, I’d like to write about my journey of getting fit. It’s a kind of public diary, or a public notebook. My plan is to note my own journey from getting a bit fat, to fit.
Name
Original name for it was fat32fit64, and I thought it would be a funny name.
- Fat32 part is a MS-DOS and Windows system. A nerdy name from some very old Windows time of mine.
- But also a statement that at my 32, I’ve gotten somewhat fat.
- It’s a play of words, so to say.
- Fit64 part is my goal to be strong at 64. And hopefully still be alive and well.
But I don’t like it for how bulky it is.
Today
Today I’m overweight for ~20 kg. My current weight is about 90 kg, while when I was lean, I’ve been 70 kg. My normal weight is from 80 to 90, but the thing is, it’s with muscles, not fat. Right now, technically, I’m less strong than I was when I was very lean, at 70 kg. I feel that I have less muscles, and more fat. So it’s safe to assume these extra 20 kg is pure fat.
Goal
My goal is to swap these 20 kg from fat to fit. I’m okay with being of the same weight. Actually, I don’t mind my mass at all. I’d rather stick to the feelings. Today, I feel weak. I tire easily. I’d like it to be completely different. I’d like to be strong. And endure. I was very endure for a decade, yet I was never strong (enough).
Strong enough, la-la-la-la.
I’d like to have some mass of muscles, so I’d have something to lose when (hopefully) I’ll reach old age.
More about my goal, in a separate document.
Update as of August 2026. Originally, I intended to have a separate blog to track my journey of getting fit back, but I realised that’s quite a long way anyway. Which involves eating, and cooking, relaxing, and all sorts of other things. So, perhaps, it’s just easier for me to keep everything in the same pile of public notes. Instead of constantly thinking of how to organise things in a blog. I’d just write and post about my progress.
