This evening Solomia had this idea, we must go visit Nadia’s (potentially new) school1, as tomorrow’s morning she has her studies there, and I’ve never been there. She had that idea for over a week, to show me the school, she was worried I won’t find it, or it’ll take me too long to find it, and we’d be late.
Also, she showed me a short route to there.
We didn’t take our umbrellas, even we came from Hnat’s Kdg. with umbrellas, unused. With Hnat, we went through a warm and sunny evening. We ate our dinner, and went from home again.
Even after I complained I have my 12 thousand steps for the day already!
She replied with a Russian word (meaning we’d deal with that rain) and triggered these Vietnamese flashbacks from this mediocre TV series about policemen.
Once we left the forest (we live near the largest natural park in town), and almost approached tram stop, an intense ice storm (hail) took us. We were 30 seconds away from the stop, and we were completely wet by the moment we entered the tram. Only Hnat was not entirely wet, as I took him on my hands while running. He was scared and yelled ‘mum!’ with mum running right before us.
Timing
It’s still very difficult for me to grasp the fact that to get to the city centre, it’s just a few bus stops away, even if I’m getting by tram, not trolleybus or bus, as usual. So, the entire trip, there and back, took us just 40 minutes:
- 10m by tram,
- 15m walk,
- 5m wait at a bus-stop,
- and 10 minutes back.
- Plus some 15 minutes to get to the tram stop through the forest from home, and back too.
Totalling our entire journey to slightly longer than an hour,
- half of which is walking through the forest,
- and another half of that through the city centre.
Pretty cool!
Swiss Tram
The Swiss tram is just so good, I afraid I won’t be able to explain it. With words, or pictures. In reality, it looks super good!
