Mum used to tell me she’d give me away into the orphanage, if I won’t behave. I have no idea why would she say that, but she did.
I’m reading Focus: The Hidden Driver of Excellence by Daniel Goleman, and there’s a story about some woman. Her dad used to threat her when he was angry. She became overly attentive to some little details. Body language of other people, she’d read every eye movement, hands, everything.
It’s so difficult to focus with this thing! I have the same thing. I’m overly focused on things like that, and I have very little resources on everything else.
A very interesting book, by the way.
